A woman went to the Bronx Zoo exhibit to mock the lion, You’ve heard of swimming with sharks, but how about dancing with lions?
That’s what a woman did on Saturday at the Bronx Zoo in New York when she climbed onto the safety ramp of the African Lion Show.
According to CBS New York, the unidentified woman was filmed standing near a lion with a single pit separated by a 14-foot drop that separates them.
The woman seems to be dancing for the lion, who does not seem impressed, according to this video of the incident on Instagram.
Hernán Reynoso, who filmed the video above, told WNBC TV that at first he thought the woman and her dance were part of the exhibition. “But when I see … she was just there, dancing, saying” hello “to the lion and everything and it was crazy,” Reynoso said.
Reynoso also said that when he saw that the lion was starting to move and roar the woman, he decided to grab his family and leave.
Officials at the Bronx Zoo told WABC TV that the meeting had not resulted in any casualties, but was implementing a “zero tolerance policy” for such jokes.
“This action was a serious violation and an illegal transfer that could have resulted in serious injury or death. There are barriers and rules to ensure the safety of visitors, staff and animals, “the zoo said in a statement.
The woman has not been identified, but the zoo presents a report of criminal rape against her, the channel said.
The same Instagram account shows what the woman seems to be greeting and trying to interact with other animals, including giraffes and a peacock.
