Marcus Edwards scored the first goal when Vitoria played against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

The former product of the Tottenham Hotspur Academy has been permanently transferred to the Portuguese side in the summer after loan periods in Norwich City and the Dutch side of Excelsior.

The 20-year-old spent time training with Brentford during the summer, under the watchful eye of the championship team.

But a movement did not materialize before the day of the deadline and instead moved to the side of Serie A, Udinese. According to reports in Italy, Edwards spent time in the country and the club was weighing all his weight.

Again, this change should not be and it would rather be the Primeira Liga team, Vitoria, who took a risk with the young midfielder.

And Edwards has already begun paying his faith with a goal that was popular not only in Portugal but with the white half of North London.

Tottenham fans have turned to social media after their goal of tweeting their joy.

One of them wrote: “Marcus Edwards scored as many goals in the Emirates as the signing of the Arsenal record, Nicolas Pepe.”
