Adrian Peterson’s season at the bank was short.
Washington rider Derrius Guice suffered a knee injury, which will likely cause him to lose sometime, reports Ian Rapoport of the NFL. It’s not the same knee that made him lose all last season, and we do not expect him to need surgery. So that’s good news, but it’s still a serious enough injury to keep Guice out for a while.
It probably means that Peterson takes his place in the training. On Sunday, head coach Jay Gruden left Peterson idle, which made a lot of noise in Washington, especially after Guice won just 18 yards in 10 races and Washington could not protect his lead by 20- 7 at half-time.
Washington took Guice in the second round of the NFL draft in 2018 and has high hopes for him, but an injury cost him his entire rookie season, and now a second-year game is again hurt.
