Watford defender Craig Cathcart is pleased with the return of coach Quique Sánchez Flores.
The defender said it was disappointing to see Javi Gracia leave, but he was looking forward to working with Sánchez Flores again.
“I know some of the boys have received messages from him,” he said, “if you build a relationship with managers and staff upon arrival.”
“He was here for a year and a half in total and they were all good, it’s disappointing when someone is fired and it’s not nice to see, but it’s part of the job now.”
“I was a big fan of Quique the first time and I was disappointed when he left, it’s not something that we often see when the coaches come back to the club, but it’s obvious that Gino (Pozzo ) and Scott (Duxbury) have seen how Quique works and they think that the team’s return will be beneficial.
“We are looking forward to coming in as a group of players, working with Quique now and spending the rest of the season.”
