Aunt Grizzley and manager Jobina Brown die in a shootout: report

Tee Grizzley’s aunt and director, Jobina Brown, was shot dead Tuesday while she was in the rapper’s car in Detroit, according to TMZ and WDIV.

Detroit police told the local media that there had been a fatal shooting involving a woman and two younger men whose age was comparable to that of Grizzley (born Terry Wallace Jr.) and Brown, but did could not confirm the identity of the victims

Police said a black Chrysler 300 was stopped at 3 Mile Drive in Detroit when the vehicle was shot down from an unknown location. The woman was shot while sitting in the back seat and was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was 41 years old.

Grizzley, 25, released his first album Activated last May and her second album Scriptures, produced by Timbaland, in June. He recently spoke with SPIN about the project, his family and the prison in an interview given at this location. TMZ reports that Grizzley and the driver of the car were not injured.
